Privacy Policy

Who is responsible

The Site is operated by Elie Bouzaglou (“I”, “me”). I am responsible for the personal information described in this policy. FishTank App Inc and FishTank Funding Portal LLC are separate entities with their own policies; this policy only covers this Site.

Information collected

Usage and device data. When you browse the Site, analytics tools automatically collect information such as the pages you view, links you click, how you arrived (referrer and campaign tags), approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, screen size, and timestamps. Errors that happen in your browser may also be reported so I can fix them.

Anonymous feedback. The criticism form does not ask for your name or email. It collects only the message you type. Please don't include personal details you don't want me to see. Like any web request, the form provider receives technical data such as your IP address when you submit.

Emails. If you email me, I receive your email address, name, and whatever you choose to write.

Server logs. The hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and time) to operate and secure the Site.

I do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and there are no user accounts on the Site.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and browser storage (such as local storage) for the following:

• Analytics – to recognize returning visitors and understand how the Site is used (Google Analytics and PostHog).
• Preferences – to remember your display theme.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The Site will keep working if you do.

How information is used

• To run, secure, and debug the Site.
• To understand which writing and pages people find useful, and improve them.
• To read and, where appropriate, act on feedback.
• To reply when you contact me.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, I rely on my legitimate interest in operating and improving a personal website, your consent (for example, when you choose to submit the form or email me), and legal obligations.

Service providers

I share information only with providers that help run the Site, and only for that purpose:

• Vercel – hosting and privacy-friendly page analytics.
• Google Analytics – website analytics.
• PostHog – product analytics and error tracking.
• Web3Forms – delivers anonymous feedback messages to me.
• Google – loads website icons on the links page.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. I may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of me, the Site, or others. I do not sell or rent personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where data is stored

The providers above may store and process information in the United States, Canada, the European Union, or other countries, which may have different data protection laws than where you live. By using the Site, you understand your information may be transferred to those places.

How long data is kept

Analytics data is kept for as long as it is useful for understanding trends, subject to each provider's retention settings. Feedback messages and emails are kept until I no longer need them. I delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for the purposes above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California or another U.S. state with a privacy law, the EU/UK, or Canada), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email eliebouzaglo123@gmail.com. Because the Site has no accounts and the feedback form is anonymous, I may not be able to link some data to you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.

Security

I use reasonable measures, such as HTTPS and reputable providers, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Links to other sites

The Site links to other websites and social networks. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
